Entrepreneurial Training Program, IN-PERSON - Spring 2025 - Door County
These ETP classes will meet IN-PERSON, one night a week for 8 weeks (Meeting over a period of 9 weeks. NO CLASS on FEB 6.) This learning opportunity is being sponsored by the Door County Economic Development Corporation and will be held in-person at the DCEDC, 185 Walnut St, Sturgeon Bay, WI.

Whether your business is growing or brand-new, writing a business plan is critical to building a profitable venture, especially to attract financing from lenders or investors.
The Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP) is eight efficient sessions to help you develop a plan for a thriving, profitable business. In this program, you will learn to identify customers, determine their needs and analyze that information into a feasible plan for starting or growing your business.
Organize and better manage your business.
Identify opportunities and market your business.
Understand and get your business financials in order.
Get funding for your business.
Write a detailed, comprehensive business plan OR complete a written business plan SBDC workbook.
Network with other entrepreneurs.
Develop a network with small business support services.
Total cost of course = $1000. Qualifying participant's cost = $150.
One-time Scholarship Opportunity Available: The Door County Economic Development Corporation (DCEDC) is hosting an in-person, 8-week Entrepreneurial Training Program facilitated by UW-Green Bay’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Included in this course is a $750 grant, provided by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC). An additional $100 sponsorship, provided by Bank of Luxemburg and Nicolet Bank will be available to 20 participants. Sponsorships are limited. DCEDC staff will contact registrants to arrange for a scholarship interview. Each participant's fee will be $150, payable upon registration.
Grant and scholarship recipients must attend at least 75% of classes and complete a workbook/business plan within 2 weeks of the final class, OR recipients will be responsible for the full $1,000.
You must register online, pay the $150 registration fee and complete the 'Letter of Intent' (LOI) WEDC Grant Agreement and questionnaire as soon as possible. The LOI will be emailed to you from the SBDC-UWGB office staff.
Once the participant has successfully completed the course and submitted a quality workbook, the Small Business Development Center-UWGB office will serve as proxy to complete the WEDC grant application form for the participant. The information provided in the "Letter of Intent", completed by the participant prior to the start of the course, will be used to complete this application. The SBDC-UWGB will notify the participant of the WEDC grant completion.
