WI Small Business Summit (in person)

The WI Small Business Summit’s “Start Strong” track is for individuals seeking to learn more about starting. Business education, the start-up formation lab, and other resources will provide the assistance you need to start your business.

The Summit is structured as a full day event in which you can participate in as many as or as few workshops as you would like in addition to accessing the LLC Formation Lab and/or the UWL Digital Marketing Lab.

The fee for the WI Business Summit is $129 for start up businesses. If you would like to access the Summit with no cost, please contact the SBDC: sbdc@uwlax.edu or 608.785.8782 for a code.

Lunch will be provided – the Celebrate Small Business Luncheon (included in your registration) will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

What to expect at the WI Small Business Summit:

• 4 workshop session opportunities with topics such as Define Your Value Proposition, Structural Considerations, Marketing Plan, and Financial Management and Recordkeeping.

• Networking with fellow entrepreneurs and connect with small business resources in the region.

• LLC Formation Lab – in-person support to help you form your entity.

• The UWL Digital Marketing Lab – access to marketing resources and support.

• Light refreshments and Celebrate Small Business Luncheon.

By registering for this event, the participant grants the program provider(s), the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center, the Universities of Wisconsin (UW System), and the participating organizations (identified below), the right to use, publish, and copyright the images and comments (including print and digital written narratives, materials, audio, video, and still images) in connection with this program for use in connection with program participation (current and future), websites and for promotional and educational purposes. The participant also consents to the program provider and the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center sharing the participant’s contact and attendance information with the program instructors/speakers and supporters (such as students, participating economic development organizations, and program coordinators), and the participating organizations (identified below).

Participating organizations with the UWL SBDC for this program include: the Universities of Wisconsin Office of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) and SCORE.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 5 business days prior to the start of this training program without penalty. Cancellations, requests, and other notice of changes for this program should be provided in writing by sending an email to sbdc@uwlax.edu.
