The WI Small Business Summit provides existing businesses with the opportunity to choose your own path to explore various business education topics and access 1x1 sessions with experts and professionals on a variety of topics ranging from Financial Management, QuickBooks, Marketing, Legal, Accounting/Tax, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity, Organizational Thinking, Leadership, etc.

The Summit is structured as a full day event in which you can participate in as many as or as few workshops as you would like in addition to signing up for one-on-one consultations with subject matter experts such as an accountant/tax professional, lawyer, procurement specialist, bookkeeper, financial planner, and insurance expert. A follow up registration/link will be sent after this registration for you to select a slot for a one-on-one consultation. Lunch will be provided – the Celebrate Small Business Luncheon (included in your registration) will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.

What to expect at the WI Small Business Summit:

• 6 workshop session opportunities with topics such as Financial Management, Taxes, Digital Marketing, Organizational Thinking, AI Strategies, etc.

• Various subject matter experts available to provide one-on-one consultations (email will be sent to you to sign up for a slot to select the experts you would like to meet).

• Networking with fellow entrepreneurs and connect with small business resources in the region.

• The UWL Digital Marketing Lab – access to marketing resources and support.

• Light refreshments and Celebrate Small Business Luncheon.

There is no cost to participate in the WI Small Business Summit if you are an operating business based in WI and have fewer than 500 employees.

A confirmation email with event agenda and logistics will be sent prior to the WI Small Business Summit with a reminder email sent the day before the event. Should circumstances arise that change program dates or its activities, the program provider (UW-La Crosse SBDC) will contact you.

By registering for this event, the participant grants the program provider(s), the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center, the Universities of Wisconsin (UW System), and the participating organizations (identified below), the right to use, publish, and copyright the images and comments (including print and digital written narratives, materials, audio, video, and still images) in connection with this program for use in connection with program participation (current and future), websites and for promotional and educational purposes. The participant also consents to the program provider and the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center sharing the participant’s contact and attendance information with the program instructors/speakers and supporters (such as students, participating economic development organizations, and program coordinators), and the participating organizations (identified below).

MSBB Training Project Eligible - This program is eligible for participant funding for Mainstreet Bounceback (MSBB) grant participants and eligible small businesses. The Universities of Wisconsin Office of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) and SCORE are participating organizations with the UWL SBDC in connection with this program. To the extent state funding is available, MSBB grant participants, and eligible small businesses may request that the state fund your participation. Payment of your program fees is contingent on confirmation that you or your affiliated business is a MSBB grant recipient or eligible small business (business operating and based in WI with less than 500 employees), and that you met the requirements relating to participation in this training program on the date(s) and times(s) scheduled. By registering for this program, you agree that you are a MSBB grant recipient or eligible small business and will attend the program as scheduled. Failure to meet the attendance criteria for a training program may result in your inability to access supplemental support and/or attend other training programs at no cost. Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration up to 5 business days prior to the start of this training program without penalty.
