Popping Up on Google: Learn Search Engine Optimization for Your Website

Google processes 5.6 billion searches every day! Do you want to learn what it takes to make your website pop up on Google when someone searches a phrase related to your business? While there is no silver bullet for search engine optimization (SEO), there are many tactics you can employ on your own website to improve your ranking on search engines. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn general content marketing and SEO strategies and how to perform keyword research for your site. You’ll get busy optimizing your website’s home page and learn how to write effective meta titles and descriptions for each page. You’ll also make a plan for future content marketing efforts. To get the most out of the workshop, you’ll need: • To be comfortable on a computer with the ability to copy / paste, upload/ download and perform Internet searches; • To have an existing website with a basic knowledge of how to edit the text content on your website. • To have access to your website content management system (e.g. WordPress, WebFlow or Wix); Note: we will not be able to provide support for fixing technical issues on your website like slow page load times, theme, plugin, design or code issues.
