Raising Equity is designed to help food and farm businesses successfully raise money, both debt and equity. Instructed by FFI Founder and Innovative Finance Expert Tera Johnson, this training helps companies raise money legally and effectively. Typically offered on-line, this is a unique opportunity to participate in person through a pre-conference session before the Food Finance Forum & Expo. The course will be all day September 16 and end at noon September 17, in time for you to participate in the preconference site visits (Food & Farm Business Tours) that afternoon. You’ll also get individual coaching time with Tera, which can be scheduled during the Forum or virtually afterward. [Registration sold separately for Forum & Expo and Business Tour tickets.]
During the sessions, Tera will help you make your business model investible, start assembling a financial package request, optimize your capital stack, and develop a game plan to successfully raise debt and equity. You’ll also get to start having more informed conversations with potential lenders, investors, and other stakeholders at the Forum after the training.
