Join us for a discussion with David Trotter, Founder and Managing Director of Winnebago Seed Fund. David will talk about the similarities between starting a venture capital fund and a new company, how venture funds and other investors do their due diligence before investing, advice he has for young entrepreneurs and other topics. This discussion will be moderated by Kathleen Gallagher, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and Executive Director of 5 Lakes Institute.

David Trotter is a Northeast Wisconsin native and Fox Valley resident. He has a Bachelor of Science in finance from Marquette University’s Applied Investment Management Program and the Chartered Financial Analyst® and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® designations. He previously spent several years as a portfolio manager in Neenah, WI, managing over $350 million dollars in client assets. Following that experience, David worked closely with local business leaders to develop criteria for a fund focusing on Wisconsin entrepreneurs and startup companies. The result is the Winnebago Seed Fund.
